SPINGES
After the start in Brixen, we cycle along the Isarco on trail no. 16 to Neustift. We leave the world-famous monastery of the same name on our left and after crossing the state road we are on trail no. 8 towards Schabs. Shortly before the artisan zone of Schabs, we turn left onto a trail (no number) and cross the state road again. This gravel and meadow path takes us directly to Ladestatt, where we pass under the motorway. Here the ascent begins on trail 8A or 8B to Ochsenbichl and on to the road to Spinges. We stay on this road until bend no. 8, where we turn right onto forest trail no. 10 to the Kaiserstein. Behind the recycling centre, we take the "Spinges circular route" and as soon as we are back on the road, we ride to the village of Spinges. This is where the great and relatively technical descent begins on trail no. 7 and then no. 10 to the Stöcklvater Chapel. There we turn right onto the cycle path. We leave this again after approx. 1 km and turn right again onto the gravel road no. 9A and then no. 9 and cycle to Schabs. The cycle path takes us back down to Ladestatt, where a small, winding and difficult trail (no. 8) into the Riggertal begins immediately after the rubbish collection point on the right. Once at the bottom, the last few kilometres take you past the Neustift monastery and wine cellar along the cycle path back to Brixen.
