Wonderful mountain bike tour in the Brixen region in South Tyrol

Starting from Hotel Jonathan, the tour heads to the centre of Natz before descending into the Rienzschlucht gorge. The final 30 metres up to the bridge are technically challenging. It is advisable to push the bike along the narrow hiking trail, which is secured with wooden railings. After crossing the Rienz, there is another pushing section before the route continues uphill to the Niederst Hof in a rideable, but still steep, manner. The Kreuzstöckl trail  takes you to the village of Vill, past Rodenegg Castle and along the Jägersteig trail and tarmac road to Mühlbach. Continue along the cycle path towards Schabs until you reach trail no. 9A. Follow this to the Urlaubsstöckl, then ride around the Ochsenbühel, with beautiful views of the Franzensfeste fortress, heading towards the centre of Schabs. From there, ride past the church, through the industrial zone, and follow trail no. 8 to the Raas junction. The steep final ascent takes you past Raier Moos, finishing back in Natz.
