Great Weissensee Tour
Great Weissensee Tour
Starting from Weissensee Haus, we cross the pier and turn right at the crossroads towards Neusach. At the beginning of Neusach, we turn left in the direction of Alm hinterm Brunn. From there, the first ascent leads us steeply uphill. The route leads past the "Mühlwand" (beautiful view - eastern part of the lake) until shortly before the Alm hinterm Brunn. We continue to the right along the sunny side trail, which runs at mid-mountain height. Wonderful viewpoints accompany our ride.
A highlight is the crossing of the Alemergraben, which attracts attention with its bizarre rock faces (100m push section). The Bründl in the ditch invites you to take a refreshing sip. At the fork in the path (Techendorfer Alm MW8 or Ostufer), turn right. From now on, the trail descends on slightly undulating terrain. We always have a view of the eastern shore of the lake. We cross the Weißenbach and turn left onto the Stockenboier Landesstraße. Turn right at the crossroads. Immediately afterwards, you can fortify yourself for the next ascent at Gasthof Weißenbacher. In addition to culinary delights, this inn also has an attraction:"The Stone Trout from Lake Weissensee" (fossil). After another short asphalt section towards Lake Farchtner See, we turn right onto the fort road to the Bodenalm. The path leads us along a very idyllic alpine stream on a medium gradient. Via the Fischeralm (refreshments & service) and past the Tscherniheim (glass-blowing village) we reach the Bodenalm (refreshments & service).
After refreshments at the Bodenalm (alpine dairy), we ride down a steep, technical section to the "Paterzipf", one of the quietest places around the lake. After a short climb, we reach Unternaggl. We cycle along the lakeside road back to the Weissensee Haus in Techendorf.
