GAMPEALM
The medium-difficulty mountain bike tour to the Gampealm is perfect for beginners looking to venture into the mountains. With 660 metres of moderately steep elevation gain, it´s definitely manageable. The tour starts at the Ötztal Bike School. After a short scooter ride to the BP petrol station, turn right uphill towards Innerwald. Passing through the hamlets of Ausserwald and Innerwald, bikers reach the less frequented road to Hochsölden. After about six kilometres, there is another kilometre on gravel, after which the mountain biker has reached the highest point of the tour at 2,000 metres. And the efforts of the ascent are richly rewarded: with a rest on the sun terrace of one of Sölden's most beautiful mountain pastures. The rustic wooden building, decorated with flowers, is located on a small plateau in the middle of green alpine meadows - a pure idyll! The view of Sölden and the surrounding mountains is truly unique and the snack tastes even better after the climb. The single trail descent is reserved for more technically experienced bikers. It starts along the ski run towards Gaislachkogl before turning onto an attractive single trail towards Sölden. (Caution: Two road crossings!)
