BRUNNENBERGALM
The Brunnenbergalm sits hight atop the eastern flank of the Ötztal. Its open location at the entrance to the Windachtal valley makes it one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Sölden mountain bike area. Starting in Sölden, the route first heads up the valley along the Ötztaler Ache. The first 1.5 kilometres of the medium-difficulty tour are almost flat and should be used to warm up, as there are over 930 metres of altitude difference waiting for the leg muscles. The ascent begins on tarmac near the campsite. From kilometre 3.1, real mountain bike terrain finally awaits the studded tyres. The winding gravel path climbs metre by metre. While the forest initially blocks most of the view, but bikers will already anticipate the stunning view awaiting them at the top. After nearly eight kilometres, the dark wooden buildings of the Brunnenbergalm come into view, marking the end of the climb. Take a moment to enjoy the panoramic view of the Ötztal glacier world - with an Almdudler in the hand.
