The Dolomites, tradition and boundless biking variety

Alta Badia is the beating heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Dolomites. Between Corvara, La Villa, St. Kassian and Badia, a vast biking playground unfolds for leisure riders, families and ambitious cyclists. An incredible 18 mountain cable cars take you to the region’s most beautiful tours and trails, so you can experience the impressive mountain world of the Dolomites and the unique natural scenery for yourself.

The choice ranges from scenic panoramic tours across the Pralongiá high plateau to alpine classics such as the Sellaronda MTB Tour – the legendary circular tour around the Sella massif. Along the way, traditional mountain villages, rustic alpine huts and warm Ladin hospitality shape the experience. Added to this is the excellent South Tyrolean cuisine that has made Alta Badia famous far beyond the borders of Italy. Here, you’ll experience sporting challenges, cultural diversity and unmistakable moments of pleasure.

Trail No. 15 – Alta Badia’s signature trail

Anyone wishing to experience Alta Badia on two wheels simply cannot miss Trail No. 15. The approximately eight-kilometre-long signature trail connects the Pilgrimage Church of the Holy Cross with St. Cassian and is one of the most impressive natural trails in the Dolomites. Even the start at the Church of the Holy Cross is spectacular: Surrounded by green alpine meadows and the mighty rock faces of the Dolomites, a varied trail ride full of flow, technical sections and panoramic views begins.

The natural trail takes you over roots, rocks and narrow forest passages through the alpine landscape. Time and again, fantastic views of the Gadertal valley and the surrounding Dolomite peaks open up before you. Flowy sections alternate with technical challenges, without ever becoming too extreme. It is precisely this mix that makes Trail No. 15 so special: it combines nature, riding fun and the unique atmosphere of the Dolomites into an experience that will linger long after your MTB holiday in Alta Badia.
