Start of the tour: Bike-Base - Eco-Hotel Koros. This special and unique bike tour takes you through the mountain and the history of mining in the Karawanken Geopark. As the visit to the Petzen Underworld is tied to a fixed schedule (the guided tours are only at 10 am and 2 pm), you must book the tour in advance. The tour is possible every day and in all weathers, except on Mondays, as the museum is closed on this day. The tour is actually ideal for rainy days, as it is dry in the underworld all the time. Due to the constant temperature of around 9 degrees, warm clothing is recommended! Most of our bikers opt for the morning downhill ride (9 km) and then ride along the main road (6 km) with a slight climb to the mining museum in Mežica. From here, you will take a shuttle to the entrance in Črna, but from there you will cycle through the tunnel back to the museum. From Mežica, you can then cycle back to Jamnica past panoramic gardens on local asphalt or fort roads.
