The "Hundstoa Biag Di" mountain bike race starts in the village centre of Maria Alm am Steinernen Meer and first leads two kilometres to the valley station of the Aberg cable cars. It then continues on the remaining 14 km and 1,300 meters of altitude difference via Aberg and Lohningalm to the Statzerhaus at the summit of the 2,117 m high Hundstein. The race was held for the first time in 2001 and has been on the program every September since then. While there were just over 50 participants at the start of the first edition, there were already more than 200 starters in 2015. The course record for women is 1:13:08 and for men 53:50. This tour is also highly recommended as a sporty MTB tour without time pressure.
