Wonderful short singletrail tour to Monte Panarotta. A long but leisurely climb at the start of the tour, for which you are then rewarded with 800 meters of singletrack.

Monte Panarotta is the mountain of Levico par excellence, the ascent of which starts right in front of the hotel and is a bit of a challenge with its almost one thousand meters difference in altitude.

The tour described here follows the main road as far as the ascent is concerned, while proposing an alternative descent along the so-called "Strada dei baiti". So called because along this road you can see the many mountain huts - the "baiti" - of the inhabitants of Levico, who usually spend their summer days or weekends there. The ascent is therefore on the SP11 "di Vetriolo"; the gradient is constant and after about 12 km you reach the villages of Compet and then Vetriolo. Once in Vetriolo and after passing the paraglider launch site - an excellent vantage point where you can have a coffee at the "NIF" restaurant - the "Strada dei baiti" begins. The asphalt here is rougher and the road narrower than on the outward journey, but the gentle hairpin bends in the shade of conifers and deciduous trees reward the cyclist and offer magical views of typical mountain landscapes.
