We cycle to the E-Werk directly in front of the hotel. From there it's a leisurely ride along the Windauer Ache into the valley (approx. 9km). We pass the Gasthof Lendwirt and continue along the stream. Shortly before reaching the Jägerhäusl inn, turn right and continue uphill through the forest, passing several mountain pastures. After crossing a stream, we finally reach the Scharlingtalalm, where a little refreshment certainly won't hurt. The route continues uphill towards the Kienzlingalm, with breathtaking views along the way. From here, it's downhill again. At a fork in the road, either go straight down to the Lendwirt and back out of the valley along the stream, or turn left and slowly descend back to Hopfgarten and the starting point.
