HOCHPAZNAUN
On the southern slopes of the Verwall group in the front Paznaun, this tour is most magnificent in spring when the alpine meadows are in bloom, but especially on warm early autumn days. On a hot summer's day with a cloudless sky, however, this tour should be avoided. The tour offers stunning views of the front Paznaun between See and Kappl, as well as fantastic views of the upper Paznaun, the Verwall and the Samnaun group opposite. You cycle from Pians via the Luitl to See, where you follow the valley path on a mostly very varied trail route to Kappl . From here, we gain altitude on a somewhat rough but well-surfaced gravel section up to the Untere Seßladalm. From this point, the tour continues over beautiful alpine pastures with constant ups and downs, passing several alpine pastures out of the valley towards Langestheialm. Along the way, you will enjoy the most breathtaking views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. From here, the trail descends to the valley floor, offering a glimpse into the extreme way of life of the local people, who have carved their homes, paths, meadows and fields high above the valley floor from the steep slopes of the Verwall Group.
Worth seeing: Wiesberg Castle, Trisanna bridge of the Arlberg railway, carved artwork in See
