This tour is very demanding with 1,154 metres in altitude and relatively steep passages on the Hahnenkamm. A good level of fitness is therefore essential. From the hotel, we head to the tourist office in Kirchberg. The ascent to the Hahnenkamm requires a solid level of fitness, as the path becomes extremely steep at several points. So , the 1,150 metres of altitude are no joke. We warm up our legs on the Brixental Valley cycle path as far as Kitzbühel. After passing the valley station of the Hahnenkamm cable car, the ascent begins quite steeply, but the path soon flattens out a little. The gravel path leads us steadily uphill, mostly through the refreshing forest. Soon after the hermitage, the path gets steeper again. In the final stretch of the climb, we are fully exposed to the sun and can soon spot the mountain station of the Hahnenkamm cable car. If you wish, you can take a detour to the cable car, but the path continues towards Pengelstein. After passing the Ehrenbachhöhe, we lose a few metres in altitude until the final ascent from the Hochbrunn mountain inn. Once we reach the top, we follow a flat path over the ridge to the Pengelstein restaurant and the 3 S-Bahn. From here, we take the first descent towards the Usterkaralm. On the first few metres downhill, rough gravel makes life difficult for us and we sometimes have to push the bike. However, this is followed by a beautiful descent, past the Usterkaralm and the Hiesleggalm, down to the Schirast. Finally, we return to Kirchberg via cycle path no. 204.
