Starting from the Alpenhotel Landhaus Küchl, we begin our tour and turn right at the oundabout, leaving it in the direction of Aschau. Do not cross the bridge at the valley station of the Gaisberg cable car, but stay to the right of the Ache river on MTB route 204 towards Aschau. This flat section is ideal for familiarising yourself with cycling. As the route progresses, the cycle path merges with the main road, which we follow for a short distance. After passing the valley station of the Ki-West gondola lift, the path heads uphill to the right just after Brügglbach. Well signposted and soon turning to gravel, we take route 261 alongside beautiful alpine meadows and through the forest towards the Brechhornhaus. Past the Hagleralmen pastures and after a relaxing flat section, the last hairpin bends bring us to our destination. After a break at the Brechhornhaus, we enjoy the enchanting atmosphere at the Kreuzjöchlsee lake with a stunning view of the Kitzbüheler Horn. At the far end of the lake, there is a short uphill ramp before we begin the descent via route 210. Passing the Wiegalm on the left, we soon arrive in Brixen im Thale through the Brixenbachtal valley and can enjoy a leisurely ride towards Kirchberg on an asphalt cycle path.
