Blaa Alm round
Our tip as a "beginner's tour" in the region and for "hot days"! The Blaa-Alm tour is predestined as a beginner's tour, as at around 54 km it is definitely a nice day tour, but on the other hand, with a good 1020 meters in altitude, it is not a real challenge in terms of fitness. In addition, the MTB tour mostly runs along gravel forest paths, meaning that the technical demands are also manageable for less experienced bikers. Furthermore, most of the tour leads through the forest and along the cooling Leisling and Rettenbach streams. A stop for a swim at Lake Altaussee is recommended. From the Landhotel Agathawirt, we set off in the direction of the "Halleralm" and follow the so-called Leislingbach. The route leads past the Leislingstube and a small forest lake, climbs steeply for a short stretch under the rugged Pötschenwand and is mostly in the shade of this rock face. After a total of 12 km, we reach the highest point of the tour at 900 m. From here it's downhill via Luppitsch to Altaussee.
