From the Hagan Lodge Altaussee on a forest road to the Blaa Alm, after this first right and then immediately left downhill (watch out for the steep descent!) into the Rettenbach valley, Rettenbach Almen, continue on the former Holzbringungstraße, then approx. 9 km downhill on an asphalt road, after the Renault Bruckschlogl garage turn right towards the town centre - then towards the goods station, on the Kaltenbach bridge over the Traun, on Engleitenstraße towards Lauffen, straight ahead before the Lauffen level crossing, through the last underpass before the railroad barrier, along the banks of the Traun, under the railroad bridge in the direction of Weißenbach, Weißenbachwirt, Goisererbrücke, after SPAR Markt there is the Limberger car dealership, the Red Cross and the Stieger joinery - turn left here in the direction of Herndl, go under the B 145, straight on at the Wiesen/Sollbach junction, Herndl, in Kogel turn right to St. Agatha, turn left onto the Güterweg Pichlern, always keep right at the forks, follow the "Leislingstraße" along the Zlambach, Leislingstube, after a total of 12 km you reach the highest point (900 m), turn left towards Waldgraben and then right to Altaussee, past the Pflindsberg ruins (lookout point), to Altaussee in the town centre, at Maislinger bakery turn left towards Loser Bergstraße, Blaa-Alm and Hagan Lodge back to the start.
