The starting point for this tour is in front of the hotel. From here, the route follows forest and hiking trails along the Aschauer Ache, gently uphill to Aschau (route 204). From Aschau, MTB route 205 takes you into the nature reserve below the Rettenstein. The route then steadily climbs past the Klooalm to the Ragstattalm, where the path turns left. From here, the route continues along a quiet forest path, with sections both uphill and downhill, until you reach the valley station of the Hieslegg cable car (1450 m). The descent that follows starts off fairly steep at the start and on gravel, but as the path progresses, it turns into a smooth tarmac road. At the valley station of the Pengelstein 1 lift, the trail crosses the main road and the Aschauer Ache. From here, we return to the cycle and hiking trail, which takes us back to Kirchberg.
