Schweinestberg Trail

The Schweinestberg Trail single trail in Austria's largest bike region Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is a beginner-friendly flow trail with great views. But the numerous waves, bends and North Shore elements are also impressive - and will put a big grin on the faces of rookies on their first singletrail.

Schweinestberg Trail

Many of us know the PillerseeTal from winter, but Fieberbrunn has long been on the summer wish list. What is the Skicircus here in winter is Austria's largest bike region in summer together with Saalbach Hinterglemm and Saalfelden Leogang. Above Fieberbrunn, the Streuböden bike area offers biking fun for the whole family, for beginners and advanced riders alike. The MTB single trail Schweinestberg Trail is the perfect playground for your first trail attempts.

Endless flow

The Bike Arena Streuböden in Fieberbrunn offers

  • 1 trail
  • 3 lines - incl. uphill trail
  • 1 pump track

Directly at the Streuböden valley station, beginners and families can hone their riding technique. However, the small bike area is also ideal for advanced riders - to warm up or refresh the (somewhat rusty) technical know-how they have learnt at some point. Two lines are available here - the platter lift or the uphill flow line. The platter lift allows you to ride the more than 20 hairpin bends and curves over and over again.

A good introduction to Austria's largest bike region

Numerous wooden elements make it easier for us to access the more challenging trails, which we find in abundance in Saalfelden Leogang. For the second lap, we choose the Uphill Flow Line, which takes us a little further uphill, bend by bend. This dedicated uphill trail is quite entertaining and really fun and we wonder why there aren't more offers like this.

Single trail with a high addictive factor

But now we finally want to test the Schweinestberg trail: we take the mountain railway up. Once at the top, we take a short break at the Streuböden reservoir. Relax a little, enjoy the view and, above all, take a look in the direction of the trail entrance. The single trail, which opened in summer 2021, leads from the middle station over a wooded ridge back to the Streuböden valley station.

It starts with a short roll-in section. The singletrail then branches off into the forest. Awaiting us:

  • North Shores,
  • undulating passages,
  • plenty of bends
  • a wide line
  • on gravel, earth, forest floor & meadow

"When we get to the bottom, we get on the bike laughing - just to keep this feeling alive and ride it again straight away. The trail and the feeling are simply addictive."

Pure flow = pure pleasure

We can hardly stop grinning - precisely because the Schweinestberg Trail doesn't present any major difficulties. It is simply pure flow and we roll back down into the valley with this feeling. Once we reach the bottom, we get on the cable car laughing - simply to keep this feeling alive and ride it again straight away. The trail and the feeling are simply addictive. After another repeat, it's time to relax. Conveniently, the Lauchsee moor baths are just a few hundred metres away. The lake warms up quickly, so even in May it's time for a dip. The Lauchsee and its bistro offer the ideal opportunity to round off the trail day in the Streuböden bike area in Fieberbrunn with snacks and good drinks.

Worth knowing

Endless fun - in the truest sense of the word - is provided by the new pump track at Easy Park Obingleitn. Ride in, pick up speed and "pump" over the waves.

The Easy Park Obingleitn at the Streuböden valley station with the Hänsn Line and the Obing Line is just the thing for anyone who has never been to a bike park before or wants to hone their technique! Bike control and balance can be perfected on the 20 and 25 hairpin bends peppered with wooden elements.
