Augst Trail in the Salzkammergut

The Augst Trail, named after the idyllic Augstsee lake at 1,643 metres above sea level, is a must for mountain bike fans in the Salzkammergut. As the first single trail in the region, it offers a perfect combination of thrills and enjoyment of nature.

Augst Trail

With a length of just under three kilometres, the Augst Trail leads through varied terrain and invites you to discover the unspoilt landscape around the Loser. The tour starts at the car park of the Loser ski arena. From here, the first five kilometres are along the Loser panoramic road, which already offers magnificent views.

Once you reach the starting point, the adventure begins: the trail leads downhill over narrow paths, small bridges and through tight bends - a real challenge for technical fans! The trail finally ends at a subway on the Loser Panorama Road. Then it's a leisurely ride along the tarmac panoramic road back to the starting point.
