Through three countries in 5 days

Tracing the footsteps of the First World War by mountain bike after 100 years - in 5 days through three countries to the Adriatic. We combine trail experiences, culinary delights and the history of Carinthia, Slovenia and Friuli over 300-350 km and 5,500 metres in altitude.

The Alpe Adria World War Transalp takes us through Austria, Slovenia and Italy to the steep coast of the Adriatic. Former positions and battlefields in the middle of the mountains, narrow wartime paths and historically significant roads, impressive museums, charming accommodation, wineries and culinary delights await all participants on this unique multi-day mountain bike tour. The bike guides will give short lectures at historical sites to bring the past into the present.

The daily change of scenery is unique

Starting with the Carinthian lakes, the Nockberge mountains and the Karawanken, our mountain bikes take us to the limestone giants of the Triglav National Park and over the forest ridges of the Kolovrat, lonely paths lead us into the lush wine and hilly country of the Collio, before arriving at the steep coast of the Adriatic Sea through the Karst near Duino.
