The most beautiful Dolomite peaks, the clearest mountain lakes, the highest waterfalls, the deepest gorges and the steepest descent. Every hour of the journey you will also find a lovely mountain hut to stop off at. The Fanes-Sennes loop leads from St. Vigil via the narrow toll road 13 kilometres gently uphill to the Pederü hut in the Fanes Nature Park. Then it's down to business - a partly steep and quite rough gravel road leads to the cosy Fanes hut and on to the Limojoch. Then it's no less rough downhill towards Cortina d'Ampezzo. Before Ponte Auto, be sure to stop at the highest waterfalls in the Dolomites! Just 150 metres on foot from the route, you can also take spectacular photos behind the curtain of water. Shortly before the Fiames car park, the initially asphalted, later steep gravel path leads uphill to Malga Ra Stua and on to the Sennes hut, which is surrounded by magnificent Dolomite rock formations. After the descent to the Pederühütte hut, there is a final treat: the easy forest trail back to St. Vigil.
